Specific information for the Faculty of Humanities

Students of the 397 plan of the Bachelor's Degree in Humanities (students enrolled in the first year between 2008-09 and 2014-15) will not be able to formalise the self-enrolment directly. They must first contact the secretary's office by CAU or email ([email protected]).

Remember that enrolment is done online (self-enrolment). You can register for as many subjects as you want (there is no minimum).

Registration is done through secretariavirtual.upf.edu. If you don't remember your password, click on Have you forgotten your password, and you will receive an email (in your UPF student email address) to reset it.

From 19 July 2023 access to Campus Global will require a double authenticator. Check the instructions.

We recommend that, prior to enrolment, you consult the timetables and teaching guides for the subjects you wish to enrol in for the 2024-2025 academic year.

Enroll between 23rd to 25th July , from the date and time of the citation until 31 july at 23:59h pm.

Before the registration period and in order to check the appointment and register within the established deadlines, check that you remember your password by accessing secretariavirtual.upf.edu. If you do not remember your password, select “Has oblidat la teva contrasenya?” and you will receive an email to reset it.

Enrolment student guide

If you have an outstanding payment, you will not be able to enroll. 

How? 

You can check if you have any outstanding payments by going to the Virtual Secretary's Office > Fees >  Items pending payment.

What should I do if I have an outstanding payment? 

Print the outstanding payment notification sent to you by email or downloaded from the Virtual Secretariat. You can make the payment at any bank branch of CaixaBank or Banc Santander (you can pay by internet if you have online current account with either of these financial institutions). You can also pay using a credit card through the CaixaBank online payment website, even if you are not a customer. You will find all the details you need for online payment on the promissory note 

You must send the promissory note stamped by the bank or proof of payment to your course secretariat, via the corresponding User Support Centre (CAU) or the Student Information Desk (PIE) up until 15th of July 2024 (check summer opening hours).

If any of your admission documents are missing, you should have received an email informing you about how to submit these to the University ([email protected]).

You must present this before the 15 July 2024; failing to do so means you cannot enrol online.

PROGRESSION - Degree in Humanities

Access to 2nd year

It is necessary to pass 50% of the credits of basic and compulsory subjects of the 1st year.

Credits to be passed: 30 credits of 1st course

Access to 3rd year

It is necessary to pass 90% of 1st year and 50% of the credits of 2nd year subjects.

Credits to pass: 54 credits of 1st year and 30 credits of 2nd year subjects

Access to 4th year

It is necessary to pass the entire 1st year, 90% of the credits of the 2nd year and 50% of the 3rd year.

Credits to pass: 60 credits of 1st year, 54 credits of 2nd year and 30 credits of 3rd year. 

 

PROGRESSION - 

Degree in Global Studies-240 ECTS

Access to 2nd year

Degree in Global Studies-180 ECTS

Access to 3rd year

It is necessary to pass 90% of 1st year and 50% of the credits of 2nd year subjects.

There are 3 registration self-modification:

September 9 and 10 September 2024: 1st, 2nd and 3rd term subjectsfor subjects of your curriculum and free choice transversal training (FTLE). 
November for courses of your curriculum and free-choice cross-disciplinary training (FTLE). 
March for courses of your curriculum, FTLE and the Barcelona International Summer School (BISS).
4th trimester subjects: pending

Here are some aspects to take into account:

  • LINK TO SELF-MODIFICATION
  • Self-enrollment starts at 9:00 a.m. and ends at 11:59 p.m. on the last day. 
  • You have at your disposal the Manual of self-enrollment.
  • You can change subjects already enrolled and enroll in new ones if there are vacancies, but in no case you can reduce the number of credits enrolled. 
  • Remember that there is a maximum number of elective credits that you can enroll. If you exceed this maximum, the application will show you the following warning: “Subject XX has not been placed in any itinerary of the study plan...”.
  • You will be able to enter the system as many times as necessary by paying only once the registration modification fee per year (27,27€).
  • As soon as you confirm the self-modification, the changes will be reflected in your file.
  • If you have an AGAUR loan, you must contact the Secretary's Office via CAU to perform the self-modification. 

The September 25rd is the beginning of the 2024-25 course.
It is necessary that you consult your timetable according to the subjects you have enrolled.
