SOMMA, the Alliance of Severo Ochoa Centers and María de Maeztu Units organises regular events where representatives from the organisations recognised with the Excellence Seal meet, together with Ministry representatives and other stakeholders. The most regular event is the !00sCiencia series.

- June 12th - 14th 2024 meetings: During these days, meetings of the different working groups (Management, Open Science, Gender) take place in different venues in Barcelona. DTIC-UPF will participate on:

    - June 13th during the Open Science working group meeting, as an example of embedding open science principles in the María de Maeztu Strategic Research program.

    - June 14th, hosting a 4-hour hybrid training on biases in the evaluation of research, with over 200 registered participants from organisations within and outside SOMMA.

- 100xCiencia7 took place in Granada on 23-24 October, including the General Assembly of the Association and events on scientific communication, both for professionals and the general public.

Other activities:

- Open Science Day (Bilbao, 16-17 May 2023). With a focus on research evaluation.This event was a continuation of the Open Science Days launched originally by DTIC-UPF with BCAM in 2019. Glad that they continue.
