On the 9th of November, 2023, Núria Almiron gave the lecture "Animal Experimentation, Discourse and Spanish Lobbies" to present the results of the critical discourse analysis of SECAL (Spanish Society for the Laboratory Animal Science) in the "Public Relations and Communications Residential School" organised by the MSC in Strategic Communications and Public Relations, a joint degree of the University of Stirling and the Universitat Pompeu Fabra.

The presentation summarised the paper written by Núria Almiron together with Laura Fernández and Miquel Rodrigo-Alsina, and published in Discourse Studies in early 2024: "Illusory authenticity: Negotiating compassion in animal experimentation discourse".
