27.06.2024

Imatge inicial

Today Davinia Hernández-Leo participated as an invited expert in the Open Debate on "Artificial Intelligence and (human) Learning" at the 9th conference on Smart Learning Ecosystems and Regional Development

Description of the SLERD Open Debate:

There is little doubt that the relationship between AI and learning is, and will keep being in the future, a topical matter as AI will increasingly belong to our learning environments. However, a number of questions arise about our role in this relationship, as learners and as educators:
• How should AI evolve to maximise the (human) learning gains?
• What are the main strengths and pitfalls of AI applications in the educational field?
• Are there any peculiarities of human intelligence that should never be delegated to AI?
• What competences are needed to use AI without being used by it?
Invited experts were freely take inspiration from the above issues to discuss the debate theme.
