Fran Gas (Orihuela, 1984) is a Spanish film director, filmmaker, screenwriter, editor, and musician. In 2023, he won the Best Film award at the +Rain Film Fest, the first international AI-made film festival in Europe, with his short film 'Of Youth,' a work that also received the award for best AI film at international festivals such as the International Festival with Alternative Media FICMA (Mexico), NarrarelFuturo (Colombia), and the Experimental Brazil Festival. Additionally, his short films 'Carla's Frametravel' (2018) and 'Peas. Industrial Symphony in Four Movements' (2019) have garnered over 90 selections and awards worldwide. He recently premiered 'Fideuá,' a comedy short film, at the Sitges International Fantastic Film Festival 2023. With over 10 years in the profession, he has directed over 100 music videos for artists from Sony Music, Warner Music, Universal Music, and RLM, among others, as well as commercials for brands like Jeep, Repsol, Ikea, or Milka. He has also worked on soundtracks with his experimental music project, Lavenzza, being nominated in 2023 for the Crystal Pine Awards (Croatia) for the soundtrack he composed for 'Of Youth.'
