Procedure for transsexual , transgender and intersex people to change the name used for them at the UPF
On Wednesday, 26 April, 2017, the Governing Council approved the Procedure for transsexual, transgender and intersex people to change the name used for them at the UPF. This aims to guarantee the right of transsexual , transgender and intersex people to be addressed, at the University, with the name corresponding to the gender with which they identify.
It involves the use of a "preferred name " that replaces the legal name in all matters that do not have legal implications at the UPF. It only has effects on internal procedures.
